Our operations are guided by robust safety measures that encompass regular equipment maintenance, rigorous crew training programs, and comprehensive emergency response protocols. The safety features that encompass our design and operations have been established in conjunction with industry standards and nearly 40 years of experience.

Highlights

*Atlantis submarines are classed by the American Bureau of Shipping, one of the world's leading ship classification organizations.

 

*Atlantis submarines are also locally regulated by jurisdictional authorities at each site. United States Coast Guard for Hawaii, Barbados Maritime Ship Registry in Barbados, Maritime Authority Curacao and Dutch Shipping Inspectorate in Aruba and the Port Administration of Quintana Roo in Mexico.

*The American Bureau of Shipping and jurisdictional authorities inspect the submarines annually to ensure they are in compliance with the standards. Additionally, the submarines are surveyed annually by engineers from the manufacturer’s technical support group.

*All crew members on the submarines are certified through an extensive training program that is approved by the United States Coast Guard and other local jurisdictional authorities.

*The Atlantis submarines are certified to dive to a maximum depth of 150 feet.

*The dive sites where the submarines operate are approved by class and jurisdiction to ensure a safe operating environment

*A dedicated surface vessel, equipped with an underwater wireless communications system, maintains contact during dives, checking in every 15 minutes.

*All vital systems on the submarine are designed with backups to ensure multiple layers of protection
